WINTERGREEN - 100% Pure Plant, Therapeutic Grade Essential Oil
Botanical Name: Gaultheria procumbens

Scent: sweet, spicy, and minty, like wintergreen chewing gum
Benefits: inflammation, rheumatism, hypertension, muscle aches and strains, edema
History: Native American tribes would chew Wintergreen to improve breathing. They also used used the plant to treat aches and pains, headaches and stomach aches. Early Americans chewed the roots to keep their teeth clean and protect them from decay. A poultice was often made to use on sore muscles and joints, as well as nerve pain. It has often been used as a flavoring in toothpaste, chewing gum, and soft drinks.
Advisory: Do not overuse. Can be toxic if overused. Skin irritant if not diluted well. Avoid use if you are taking blood thinners.
