LIME - 100% Pure Plant, Therapeutic Grade Essential Oil

Scent Characteristics: citrus, tart, sweet with some spice
Benefits: Because it helps the immune system by helping stimulate red and white blood cell formation, Lime is a key oil to help treat infectious diseases, colds, throat infections, asthma, bronchitis, and flu. It can also help when treating cardiovascular disease.
History: Like so many other citrus trees, the Lime tree is native to Asia. It became very popular in the 1800’s when physicians realized that the fruit is high in vitamin C and had a fairly long shelf life after harvest. English sailors took it on long journeys to prevent scurvy. Limes were eaten so much by the British sailors they were nicknamed “Limeys.” The fruit was used interchangeably with Lemons to help prevent infections, sore throats, and fever. It was often used to prevent indigestion.
Blends Well With: Lemon, Eucalyptus, Clary Sage, Lavender, Neroli (Orange Blossom), Rosemary, Vanilla, Ylang Ylang & Other Citrus Oils.
Advisory: Should not be used on the skin prior to sun exposure. Non-toxic, may cause dermal irritation or sensitization reactions in some individuals
